Wedding Season

Being in the middle of wedding season, I selected a dress that I thought would be perfect for a day or night wedding. I like to wear colors to these celebratory occasions, as white is obviously not appropriate, and black, although my favorite (lack of) color, seems a bit grim for the festivity. I got this dress from VLabel London. I love this brand, because it is characterized by its vibrant color, unique cuts and intrinsic details, all seen in this fuschia number.
Happy Friday! Hope you all enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend! Thank you for stopping by :)

Saturday Mornings

Saturday mornings are so sweet around here. The sun seems to shine a little brighter, and waking up with the energy of the wind crashing against the water makes me infinitely grateful to live in a place that I wholeheartedly believe is paradise. A beach walk before everyone is out and about, accompanied by an amazing acai bowl is tradition on Saturday mornings. I throw on a beachy dress, and let my hair air dry with a tint of saltiness.

The little pom poms on this dress were all I needed. Pom poms on a dress?! I love this easy, breezy dress. I wore it out with shorts under, and I've also worn it to the beach as a cover up. My style is generally very relaxed and effortless, and this dress fit right in. Once the heat waves start to hit, I just let my hair air dry, and tan so I don't have to wear make-up. Hats, sandals, sunnies and salt hair. :)

Celine sunnies / Prada bag / Express camo pants / J.Crew linen shirt / Booties (I like these as well)

I have not hopped on the camo bandwagon for the past couple years, because I could not see myself in it. But when I tried on these pants from Express, I really liked the way they fit. Finding ankle pants is a treasure for short people, and that is part of why I liked them. And this shirt is a J.Crew staple that I've gotten every year in a new color. This year, I got it in this beige tone, and I upsized several sizes to create the oversized fit.

A month ago, I mentioned that I was doing the #30DaysofBeautiful challenge with Clarins Double Serum. I have used the serum at night, under my regular moisturizer, and it is amazing. The first week, I didn't notice the difference, but by week two, my skin was softer, my pores were smaller, and my skin tone was more even. I used two pumps a day, and I loved that it did not leave my skin oily, but quickly absorbed, and left my skin feeling fresh and soft.  If you are using another serum, I recommend switching to Clarins; or if you're not using a serum at all, it is paramount that you use it for your skin's overall health and glow.

Clarins combines two age-defying formulas into one ground breaking serum that firms skin, reduces wrinkles, evens skin tone and minimizes pores. 90% of women find it more effective that their current serum. Proven for all skin types, all ages, and all ethnicities.

Pants & Shirt: XOXO / Bag: Hermes / Stila Lipstick in "fiore"

Recently, I have become a fan of flare pants. They are so comfortable and breathable, especially in the Miami heat. Being mid-Spring, white appears most frequently in my wardrobe. I love the casual-chic vibe of these pants, paired with a floral crop top, a simple pony tail and bright lips. You may remember  XOXO from years ago,  and it is still going strong as a leading juniors' brand that sells runway to real way. I like that they design trend conscious, feminine, and most items are under $100. This look is part of a Fashionindie style off, and you can vote for my look, and see the others' here. By voting, you will be included in a $500 XOXO giveaway. In addition, to be considered by the brand, post your #XOXOMoments on IG, and tag @therealxoxo :)

These colorfully printed shorts from Z&L are among my favorite I own. While being printed and colorful, they are equally relaxed. I dressed mine for a casual day, but add a silk top and high heeled sandals, and they are night appropriate, or wear them over a swim suit, and they double as a cover. I have always loved Spanish prints and fabrics for that reason. They are cool, colorful, fun, but they are not overdone and stuffy.

When I put this outfit on, I had black flat sandals on. And in between errand running, I ran into the mall, dropped my phone (I drop my phone a minimum of three times per day, my friends love to make fun of me for this habit, yes habit) however, this time, my phone-dropping talents led me to see a pair of shoes that had fallen behind a sale rack. I pulled them out, and they were these gorgeous studded beauties, at a 90% off discount, in MY SIZE! Glory to all shoe gods!  I could not resist such an encounter with fate. I snatched them immediately, and changed into them at the store.

Paisley Playsuit

I wore this jumpsuit while in Jacksonville, FL last weekend, and I was so glad I did, because it was  HOT. This little thing is so soft, and perfect for a hot day. I threw on a vest to add layers once it cooled off, and added a my Summer hat to top it off. I would wear this hat every day if I could. It automatically adds interest to any outfit. I am a big fan of hats for that reason, and for the obvious reason of disguising a mediocre hair day.

Oasap Blouse / J.Crew shorts / Call it Spring Sandals / Celine sunglasses

With the warmer months quickly approaching, I become more fond of lose-fitting pieces.  I love everything about this shirt. The length, that almost works as a dress, but can be worn with shorts for a relaxed fit, the eyelet, and ribbon lining, and finally, this light blue color, that is my Spring favorite. The sleeves are feminine, and have a doll-type of aura about them. I love it!

Pink Structures

Oasap Blouse / Celine Sunglasses / J.Crew shorts

I have never been a big pink girl, but when I saw the color options in this blouse (white and pink), I instinctively went with pink, in efforts to get away from the typical white blouse, which I have a number of, and to hop into a more Spring forward vibe. The wide, boy structure of this blouse is what attracted me to it, as it is lose and comfortable, and works for my current affinity for wide blouses.

Sunday White

I love this flowy white dress. It's comfortable, breathable, and classic. Gap is good at making these Spring/Summer staples!
A weekend favorite.

Clean Lines

I am most comfortable in my own skin when I am wearing all black. While I enjoy wearing all white as well, there is nothing like all black for me. It's the staple of sleek and chic.
I bought this silk cami from J.Crew a while back, and it has proven to be one of my most worn pieces. It's great by itself, as it is not a typical cotton cami, and its great under a blazer or jacket. I love how soft and light it is! I want this fushsia one too! Happy Cinco De Mayo! Enjoy a margarita today! xo
