My favorite color (or lack there of) is black, and it is no secret that it belongs in 99% of my looks. When I got this black blouse with these intricate lace details, I was jaws on the floor, because it added such dimension to my favorite item to wear. I truly believe that besides a little black dress, every woman should have a classic black blouse, black pencil skirt, black skinnies, and pointy black pumps. If you have that, you can make any outfit work and look chic for days. I wore this outfit to work, and immediately for drinks after and felt equally relevant in both places; which is ideal to me in any outfit. Best part is that every piece in this outfit is under $30, from Windsor.
The other day I dropped into my local French Connection store, and was happily surprised to find that everything in the store was on sale, and the sale had an additional 60% off. It was like heaven! I stocked up on dresses galore, and this was one of my picks. The beauty of French Connection, aside from design and quality, is the classic concept they carry. When it comes to dresses, nobody does it better.

For this boyfriend jean look, I teamed up with Sears' get the look campaign, to highlight their wide selection of denim. From my boyfriend style, to printed and color, there is something for every look. While shopping for these jeans, I discovered how many great lines and collaborations Sears carries. For denim, I had numerous options, and I selected this pair because it fit like a true boyfriend jean. Baggy, lose, distressed and ankle length. What I love about this style of jeans is that it can be glammed up with heels and a pretty blouse, given edge with leather touches, or be worn with a tee and sneaker for a true boyfriend feel. I call them my Sunday jeans, because they feel like sweats, while still being denim. Boyfriend jeans are a closet staple nowadays, and if you don't own a pair, Sears denim selection will likely be able to afford you the right ones.
Thanks for reading! Happy Sunday!

This is what I had originally planned for a NYE outfit, but since I spent it on an island, I went with a simple white dress instead. This sequin skirt is such a fun piece, I would love to wear it more often. I would feel out of place wearing it on a regular day, but I'm thinking I may push past that comfort zone and do it anyway with a tee and sparkles ;)
This is a simple look for running around. I've used these boots a lot this colder season. They are great at "making" an outfit. With a tee and leather jacket, or a skirt, the fact that they go above the knee almost creates a second bottom piece. I've always been a believer of the shoes creating the look, and with statement shoes like these, it's never been truer.
This skirt is a favorite of mine, because what could compare to the frill. The frill! This is the first scuba item I've owned, and I love it. it doesn't move or fall an inch. I am back to work this week and getting used to the post-holiday blues- a drag! Where is Friday?! Hope you all have a great day!
Today, I am partnering with Diet Dr Pepper to highlight my favorite looks at last night's Golden Globes. I am a fan of these, and the Oscar awards, as the wardrobing is much more subtle and classic. It is so good to see film and television's grand personalities in their best suit. I loved host, Tina Fay's styling for the duration of the show.
To create a look inspired by the Golden Globes, I pulled out my tulle skirt, made for me by my sweet grandmother, and styled it simply, with a tank top. I love a look that is easily put together and doesn't look extremely calculated.
When watching red carpet events, I love seeing personalities come through a celebrities' look. In my opinion, a phenomenal stylist doesn't try to create a look for his star, but rather pulls a look inspired by him/her . I didn't think there were any big no's, but I wasn't a fan of Jennifer Lawrence's dress, or look. I loved Drew Berrymore's mom-to-be sweet dress.
My look was inspired by my fellow Colombian lady, Sofia Vergara.
Another favorite look was Margot Robbie. She is a beauty!
And a man who can do no wrong in his best.

Happy 2014 party people! I have been on a beautiful island in South America for the past two weeks, and in total desirable internet depravation. I have so much work to catch up on, but excited for this new beginning. I hope this year brings us all new opportunities, open doors, friendships, and happiness. My goal for this year is simple. To be fearless. I don't want the fears of 2013 and the years before that to put a damper on all the running ahead to be done in 2014 in my career, dreams and relationships. I hope each of you finds new strength, red lipstick, and kickass heels to own this year in. Thank you for reading!

Whenever I can't come up with an outfit quickly, I always, without fail, reach for a leather jacket. Its a no fail game. Ya can't go wrong, can't beat it. It's one of those few items that will always be trendy and chic, but classic to the core. I love this cropped French Connection one because it conforms to your shape well and is fitted all around. I am once again wearing my sparkly Abercrombie jeans, because they are my favorite pair, and a silk tank from J.Crew. I'd say I wear these three pieces most repeatedly out of all the other things in my wardrobe. So this, my favorite staples are what I will start 2014 in. Happy New Year party people! Hope this year you shine brighter and dream bigger! Many many thanks for following along in 2013, and for your continued support in 2014. xoxox
