Freaking Weekend

Boohoo overalls ℅  / Boohoo boots ℅  / Lulus Tank / ℅ Rovimoss bag ℅ / Boohoo sunglasses ℅

This is the first pair of overalls I've ever owned. And I am quite smitten. They can be so edgy, or cute. I went with edgy, as I wanted to wear my current favorite booties with it, and I was dying to wear my freaking weekend tank! How cute is it? I need a week between Saturday and Sunday. Weekends don't last nearly enough. Especially in Miami, where the fun never ends. But this weekend is extraaaa special, as my mom is visiting me, and we are doing a mom/daughter weekend. So, so excited! We plan on shopping, getting manicures, and I am taking her to see a Flamenco show at the ballet on Saturday, and to polo and brunch in West Palm Beach on Sunday! I am so excited to have her and show her a Miami weekend, done right. (Hope she's ready for a draaaaank ;) ) Happy Friday, y'all!

Don't forget to go "add finds" to my hunt here! I will be selecting two winners this weekend! See all details here

I wore this vibrant dress to a great day at brunch and the beach with some friends recently. I'm not usually a floral person, but I absolutely love the cut and fit of the dress. Here, I went for a clean and simple look by pairing the dress with white Converses, but you could also make it edgy with heels and a leather jacket. I love a dress that you can throw on and run out. That's as good as your best white tee ;)

Thanks for stopping by! xx

Woman's Suit

French Connection Pants ℅ / French Connection Jacket ℅ / French Connection Blouse ℅  / Chinese Laundry Pumps ℅ / Sunglasses

Hope you guys had a relaxing long weekend! I spent it with friends at the beach, and wish it hadn't ended so soon! Til next weekend ;)
I picked up this blush suit at French Connection during Fashion Week, and I wore it on Valentine's Day back in Miami.  I'm in love with the menswear look, cut, and comfort. I never pictured myself wearing a suit, but I would love to have it in every color now!

Dress: Oasap (sold out, similar one) / Coat: Sheinside / Tights and headband: F21sunglasses / Bag: Chanel boy brick / lipstick

I wore this pink ensemble in New York the morning I attended the Kate Spade presentation. Since it was the first event of the day for me, I wanted to dress in something that reminded me of Kate Spade. What better than colorful tights and a bow? This is not usually me, at all. I rarely wear pink, much less all pink, but I must admit, I liked feeling barbie-like for a day.
I got to spend time back stage, as a guest of Deborah Lippman, and it was so fun watching Deborah create the manicures for the presentation. I loved it all!

The City

Chanel bag ℅ : Bellag bag / Naked Princess gloss /  similar Oasap coat / Windsor Store blouse / similar ILY couture earrings / sunnies

New York City is my favorite place in the whole world. I feel a sense of "happening" there. It is the city of dreams, and a place for people who distinguish that the difference between dreams and reality is work. I was there for Fashion Week, and I had the hardest time coming home. Although I missed the Miami warmth, New York is where my heart belongs! In between shows, I snuck a trip up to the Rockefeller center, and spent a moment admiring the views.

On a Farm

I wore this easy ensemble to a strawberry farm over the weekend, in the wee hours of the morning, when we went to pick strawberries, make milkshakes, and eat the best cinnamon rolls, straight out of the oven, that I've ever had in my life. It was such a fun morning excursion with friends, followed by a day on the beach, that I kept it simple with denim on denim, and my farm appropriate rain boots. A ball cap for early mornings is paramount ;)

Shape Matters

Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing with you guys an eye shadow palette that I tried for the first time, and now use frequently. I teamed up with Smashbox to present you their new Full Exposure palette, complete with 14 universally flattering shades, that are essential, effortless and enhanced for your eye shape. What makes this palette stand out amongst others is that it takes your eye shape into consideration, and uses every color in every look to complement your eye shape, giving you the ultimate beauty look. The palette comes with a how-to look insert for all 6 eye shapes.

After taking the short quiz, I discovered that my eye shape is round, and I created a neutral look with my palette that could work for every day. Just like you should wear clothes that are flattering to your body shape, using the correct brush, product and technique gives you the most gorgeous, enhanced eyes. I love the matte neutrals for a daytime look, and the long-wearing, non-creasing shimmers for a night time affair. Something I love about the palette is that is comes with one quality brush, labeled to be used with all shades. One brush for 14 shades! Guesswork taken away! After Smashbox tested 5,000 eyes, they discovered 6 clear eye shapes (monolid, almond, round, upturned, downturned, hooded) and Full Exposure was born with the desire to satiate a straightforward, super universal palette that works for anyone, anywhere.

If you want to participate in the #shapematters campaign, and enter to win hundreds of palettes and primers, simply seflie away and tag #shapematters.

I used all the matte shades on my eyes, and created the shadows, eye liner and eyebrows entirely with the palette, and no other product.

Smashbox lives for lipstick. Gets excited about primers. (No, seriously, they do.) But most of all,
they love sharing their makeup secrets with you. That’s why they’ve created the Full Exposure
Palette—a set of universally awesome neutrals that’s essential, effortless and enhanced for your
eye shape! This palette was developed because their pros needed it on set at Smashbox Studios
in L.A. Just like you dress for your body shape, it’s important to apply makeup based on your eye
shape—so Smashbox artists are exposing all of their secrets to get the most out of your shape
with this palette. It’s all about being your most kickass beautiful self at Smashbox.

Any Day

On most days, the best outfit for me is a tee, jeans and sneakers. I was debating whether or not I should post this outfit, as it is so basic, but it dawned on me that this is what my Monday-Friday looks like. At night, when I have events, I will dress up, and always on the weekends, but if you were to run into me at Target, I'd be bumping into you with this large bag and talking away to my best friend on the phone, sans make up and messy hair. I hope this is a little insight into the very real, problematic, messy, days behind the camera. :) Happy Friday!

Valentine's Fancy

I haven't given Valentine's Day much thought this year because February means means Fashion Week pour moi. Truth be told, I have never been a V-day person. Not that I'm against it, but I just don't give it much attention. However, a reason to play dress up is all I need, and a Valentine's Day date will do the trick. I decided to go for a feminine, floral, and Blair Waldorf-esque theme.
It means choosing quality over quantity, and spending a little more on one dress, than I would on putting together a complete look. Any of these soft and beautiful dresses, worn with nude heels and a beautiful diamond ring scream class and loveliness.
I have my eye on the first ring below from Anjolee, a customizable engagement ring, anniversary or any occasion diamond ring site- as it will add a certain sophisticated bling to my hands that will last me a lifetime, versus cheap thrills that will cost me more over time. I love this site because it's easy to navigate, customize, and find any diamond ring that you are looking for.

I wore this dress to a dinner party, and while I expected to look partially like a Stepford wife because of the cut, I actually quite enjoyed the flounce and bounce. It is a thick, winter dress, but since I live in Florida, I paired it with fun chunky sandals, and my favorite Gigi New York Spring Collection clutch, and created a Springy, playful look that can easily transition from day to night.
Today, I am off to New York City for New York Fashion Week, and this dress is coming along, but to be worn in full Winter action. This season, I will be working with a lot of shows backstage, and will be visiting showrooms, as well as attending the runway shows to view the Fall 2014 collections! I am so thankful for this opportunity, and looking forward to spending a few days in my favorite place in the world! Follow along on my instagram to freeze in the snow alongside me :)

H&M dress (love this similar one) / Windsor Store pumps / Chanel bag / Sunglasses

I wore this dress last week to the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Ritz Carlton hotel in South Beach with my girl Kelly, and it fit like a glove. It was a nighttime cocktail party, so I figured black and full length would be appropriate. The back detail, along with the small beads on the sleeves and front made for a simple, yet chic look. I can't believe this dress was a sale find from H&M. I got it for $7! CAN. YOU.FATHOM? I rarely stop by H&M, (because I am attempting to reduce my shopping altogether) but I was killing time on Lincoln Rd. and I swung by, to run into this lucky find by the front door. Don't you love it when things like that happen?

As for glam squad of the night, Blow n Dry Lounge sent a team of stylists and make up artists to get us glammed up for the night. If you are in South Florida, I recommend their services, in salon, or at your house. They are fabulous and a pleasure to spend an evening with!
