Dolled Up For Spring

I rarely wear dresses, and especially dresses and heels. I think it's lovely, but it's not practical for my lifestyle. By lifestyle, I mean walking what seems like 10 miles from parking garage to destination. But when I put heels on, I feel like I grow up ten years and have the confidence of walking arm in arm with..I don't know, Ryan Gosling? I should really sacrifice my feet more often for this type of feeling. But anyway, I broke the seal and decided it was officially Spring. I hadn't done so, for pity of all you people buried in snow. But when you live on the beach, it s a perpetual state of Spring. So there it is, I said it. Hate me. But don't, because I'm constantly restraining myself from instagramming pictures of the beach in merciful efforts of being with you in spirit. So here is some sunshine for you. Oscars + Target Giveaway

This Sunday night is reserved for gawking at the TV in awe of the beauties across the red carpet at the Oscars, and I'm sure a little panic here and there. Never fails. But then we wouldn't have the best and worst dressed columns, which I always look forward to looking at. My favorite deliveries of those are from PEOPLE magazine. They have everything I NEED to know/see about my celebs. And this year, going on sale March 1st through 18th, the People Magazine 2013 Oscars Double Issue promises the best line up of Oscar fashion. I can hear magazine and wine party bells.  Last year everyone who was anyone wore off white tones, in which they looked fabulous. BUT, if you ask me, this year I hope to see Spring throw up on them all. Like, I wish Kate Spade dressed them. I imagine rainbows and unicorns. But really, I would love to see vivid colors, even neon accents.

Like I said, it's definitely a work in progress. Haven't even started on the guest room yet, but I think for a week, we've done a decent job!
