Ripped black jeans and a sweater is an outfit I could live in. I went into H&M with just this sweater and jeans, looking for a sweater for Kyle, and walked out with the jacket, which I actually liked with what I was already wearing. Why not add an extra layer. Probably because Miami's weather is the killer of all layer vibes. Nonetheless, I liked the jacket, and I can't wait for November 15th when Isabel Marant's collaboration with H&M comes out! I may even camp out all night for it ;)
Happy Halloween! I'm notorious for making myself sick on a candy overdose on this day each year, but what will do I have to stop! Can't wait to show you guys my costume! Hope you all have a great one!

Coats on Coats

I gathered my favorite coats for this season below. Coats make great gifts,( for yourself too ;) ) and if you're a smart shopper, now would be the time to start ordering gifts. I plan on getting all my Christmas shopping done within the next few weeks, though I always hope that happens, and I'm typically the straggler on Christmas day praying some Target somewhere is open. Here's to this year, and getting things done! *fist pumping everyone with the same goals in mind*

Sheinside Dress c/o / Report Signature Heels via Lulus c/o / Lips / Sunglasses / J.Crew Necklace (similar)

Women dote their little black dress, it is no secret. When I was 17, I found my first BB Dakota perfect LBD, and I wore it until (probably last year) but it still holds a place in my closet and heart, as the dress that taught me how far a black dress will take you. Since my high school years, I hadn't come across another dress that I esteemed as much, until I found this one while searching for something to wear to a charity gala. I knew it wasn't a ball gown occasion, and that I would be sitting with serious entrepreneurs so my frilly pinks and brights would have to be subdued for the night. However, the layer of tulle under the lace creates a poof and that was enough to draw me in. I actually wore my hair in a slicked back bun and didn't wear bright lips that night, but it felt too mature, so later on I did a messy pony and the brightest shade of red I could find for my lips to make play up the poofy fun of the dress.

A Plaid Blazer

I bought this vintage Dior blazer while in NYC at a street market. When I saw it, I loved the plaid and boyfriend fit, and when I found it was vintage couture, I snatched it right away. I took the shoulder pads out to modernize it a bit, and I am well pleased with how it works now.

I want this outfit! The metallic ensemble with tights and metallic accent booties have so much glow, yet they are simple and neutral. On my wish list!

Wiggle Dress

I wore this dress to a wedding over the weekend, and I loved it! I wasn't sure how the length would fit my 5'2 frame, but it worked perfectly for me! It even allowed me to do the wobble ;)

Yesterday, while I grabbed some groceries at Walmart, I wondered off into their perfume isle, which I didn't even know existed, and was pleasantly surprised. I found the same perfumes I see at department stores, but for a fraction of the cost. I smelled a few, as they have all of the testers out, and I tried some on, since I have learned that all perfumes smell different on different skins. For me, floral scents rarely work because I have dry skin, and the scent dissolves and doesn't stick on me for long. I need strong scents, with a bit of oil in them for duration. Usually sweets is what I like to buy. After my smell test, I fell in love with Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck. It smells sweet and not too strong. I always associate my perfumes with moods and locations, and this one makes me feel like a pink Fall forest, peaceful and girly.  I think of the commercial she did, with her song "Enchanted," how she is dancing through the forest in a cream tulle dress, absolutely enchanting and wood-fairy like. The scent of the perfume captures just that. And the packaging resembles it as well, with simple gold details and a sparkling bottle. I love it when a woman walks in a room and leaves a trail of amazing smell behind her. Growing up, I would always want to wear my mom's t-shirts because even after washing them, her perfume sticks so strongly to them. Having a signature wonderful smell that people remember you by is something so feminine and beautiful. I picked up the small 1oz one to carry in my purse to spray myself a couple of times throughout the day. I also like to spray my shirt collars before I put them on. Its always nice to treat yourself to a little something, what better than dainty perfume. :)

I can't seem to wear anything but neutrals. I am just not a color person, at least not right now. A military  jacket is ideal for me, because I find it to be the perfect layering piece. And if anyone is interested, I'm selling these loubs size 6, email me for info :) Today I plan on working from home, and maybe even catch up on some yoga and Gossip Girl re-runs. Hope you all have a great day!
